Hello! First time commenting,I really enjoy your blog. These bears are adorable! I could see them (without border)as a change purse or in chunky yarn and a little girls purse, stuffed, with a stem as baby rattle, also as a baby bib, well the list could go on.lol Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Lepo, enostavno, efektno. Čestitke.
Hello, I am a first timer as well with stitching Amigurumi style patterns. I very much enjoy your tutorial and going to try and make this today. I find your instructions very clear and easy to follow.

Thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
Yes, you can do the pattern! It's very simple.
xxx Dragana
Hi Peg,
Thank you! 🙂
The circle square is similar to Teddy Bear square, only you begin with 12 dc in magic ring (actually chain 3, then 11 dc in ring) – instead of the muzzle, the rest is the same, row 2 – 2 dc in each stitch, row 3 – dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch; repeat that around, and the fourth row is the same as Teddy Bear's, and you work only in back loops.
My blanket is 83 x 67 cm (with border) and there are 80 squares 8 x 10

The colors of your St George cottons are wonderfull.
Could you tell me if I can buy them on a website or somewhere in France ?
Thank you for your answer. (murieljoly@aliceadsl.fr).
Muriel from France.
I just love this pattern. As luck would have it I have a newly born g'son to make this for just two weeks old. I just hope I finish it before his birthday. I still have projects going from when his mom was a newborn. But let's not talk about that…..
The last crocheting I attempted was not finished either. I wonder what happened to it? I remember my cat at the time got at the yarn, and it was on the top shelf of a closet, how he managed to get up there is a mystery, this cats must smell trouble to get into. I remember there was a mess to clean and untangle, I remember throwing it into a bag. It was that poncho thing that Martha Stewart left prison wearing. How many years ago was that??? That was a nice poncho pattern. Someday….if this goes well…maybe I will attempt that again – from scratch.
Thank you very much ! The blanket is beautiful! I am from Argentina and I have just made some granny squares but I can't make the slip stich to begin the ears.
Any help would be greatily appreciate.
You are so generous for sharing the tutorial with us.
Thanks again
Susana
I am wondering is this pattern written in US or UK crochet terminology?
Wow its stunning and very cute. I just want to know how many balls of yarns did u use to complete this blanket? I read the comment and u said it sized 83 cm x 67 cm right?
thanks a lot for the pattern, it`s so very nice. i just tried it and one bear is ready now. but i have one question: is it right that i have to begin the right ear with slip stich, skip one, …. and the left ear with a chain stich??? my bear has the problem that the ears turn down , is it normal or is there a fault on my side??? thank you very much for a short answer, greetings from germany, sibylle
Thank you so much for this lovely Pattern;-) You are really doing a fantasic work;-)
I am allowed to sell the finished blanket it on my Page?

Thankyou sooooo much for this tutorial (and the primavera flower tutorial which is on my to do list, so beautiful) I am so enjoying making these squares, each bear has it's own little personality :*) I have a question, did you block your squares and if yes, how did you do it?

Thank you for this beautiful teddy bear pattern ?
I love this! Thank you so much for this clear tutorial.
Can't wait to make this for my granddaughter, Reyna, she will love the bears. I think I will make her an afghan with alternating squares of plain and little bears! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this beautiful tutorial! I shared a link on our Facebook group. We are a group of Dutch women that crochet blankets for children that have a really hard time for various reasons (i.e. cancer, severe autism, fostercare…) The group is called "Berendekens", which means "Bear- blankets"…for bear- warmth en strenght….Many women work on single granny squares, then we assemble and put them together, so the love of many hands goes into the blanket…I know a lot of our members will be really pleased to use your wonderfull tutorial….
Greetz, Annemiek.
I love them! Now I know, what I'm doing in summer – bears of course. Thank you!
Can you elaborate on how to make the ears? I can't figure out how to do it
Thank you so much for sharing this! It's gorgeous..willing to make one for my bundle of joy! Long wait until my baby's arrival 🙂
Hi I am new to your blog~~~no doubt somewhere you have posted what yarn you use for these gorgeous projects. Please would you share that information again. Thank you.
Just so lovely!
Thank you for your compliments! 🙂
Yes, you can sell finished blanket, but please give mi a credit as a designer.

How do you add a bead to the yarn when it is attached to the skein? Thank you! Adorable pattern. 🙂
beads have to on the string before you start crocheting
this is an awesome pattern and the best instructions I can't wait to start thanks
Thank you for sharing this pattern and making the tutorial. I am using baby weight yarn to make my squares and then will assemble them to make a blanket for my new grandbaby, expected sometime this week. I had to play around with the placement of the eyes because my first attempts had them a little off center. But I think this is going to be so cute when I'm finished! I'll try to post a picture when I'm done.
This pattern is a real gem!!! Thanks so much for sharing. SMILE
I just found your blog today and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it! THANK YOU so much for this wonderful tutorial! YAY! I was stressing about something cute to make for a friend who is having a baby boy. Now, you have given me a great idea and a lesson on how to complete it. THANKS A MILLION! Have a great weekend!
This is an amazing square! I now know what I want to do for my first grandchild, a boy, that is due any time now! I'm so glad I saw your blog in a "share your craft" type of blog! Thank you for the great tutorial!
When I looked at the directions, it occurred to me that with some changes to the ears and snout this could be a three little pigs pattern, too! so very cute!
oh my goodness, this is the cutes granny square ever. Thank you so much for sharing. Love it.
Thank you SO much for sharing this adorable pattern. Your steps were so thorough and clear. I enter afghans in our county fair, and I plan to use this one for next year's granny square entry. Thanks again!
Have a friend in Australia who tried your bear granny square, but she isn't able to get the bears head squarely on the block. She has redone it a few times but isn't able to get it right. Any suggestions would help. PLEASE
I cant seem to get the stich count right. Has anyone actually made one of these from the instructions above??

Thank you very much, cute teddy bear pattern.
Gracias por compartir. Tengo, al igual que otra de tus ciberalumnas, problemas con la orejita. ¿ en donde monto los doble crochet de la oreja, parecen estar en el aire? te agradecería me orientaras. Margargarita
I am learning to crochet….I so badly want to make these!! Gorgeous 🙂
This is really a big help specially for those crochet beginners.
Would really like to make these, but not being able to print the pattern through function disabled is very frustrating. Such a lovely thing as well
Hi! I really like this pattern. But… Your teddy-nose seems to be 3D. Mine is just flat… 🙁
Could you explain how you create the 3D-dimension in the nose?
Greets,
Sanne (the Netherlands)
Love the pattern. I am going to include it in a Sampler afghan for a new grt.granddaughter. Is it possible to print pattern without all the pictures? I am quite experienced and don't need them. Thank you.
Just found your pattern, the tutorial is great ! I just found out, I am going to be a grandmother in march, I have the right yarn, starting today !
Thank you very much !
Hello!
This pattern is so lovely! I just had a few questions on how you joined the squares together and how many you used across and down to make the size blanket you had previously written in a comment before mine. 🙂 Thank you so much for your help!!
-Hannah
Hello! This blanket is so adorable…you are so talented!
I also had some questions: 1) How did you attach the squares, 2) can you share the pattern for the plain gray circle granny squares, and 3) how you made the trim?
I love every part of this blanket….want to make it just like yours! Would really appreciate the information! LOVE that you posted this tutorial for free!
Hi! I'm not a crochet expert, but maybe I can help you. I tried the pattern with a bigger and a smaller crochet hook (but with the same yarn). The teddy bear made with the bigger hook was pretty flat, but the one with the smaller hook has a cute pointy nose. 🙂 So I would suggest to try it with a smaller hook. I hope, I could help 😉
Hola tengo problemas con el empiece el hociquito no me queda bien me podría mandar el patrón por favor gracias mi correo es Isabelmaria34@hotmail.com
Hello, jsut wondering if you could do this with DK? Also, would you follow the same pattern? x
Hello! Thank you for the tutorial pattern is really nice and adorable Tedd bear Granny
Hola acabo de encontrar este oso adorable, gracias por compartirlo.
Me gustaría saber si has hecho algo para que quede el hocico como en relieve (no se si sólo es efecto óptico) gracias
Thank you so much for the beautiful pattern and clear tutorial. May I make these to sell at craft fairs (not on-line). I will give you credit for the design on the back of my business card. Please confirm this would be acceptable
I'm thinking they would be cute potholders and Dishrags, made with cotton. Then just make one rectangular for a dishtowel. They are adorable.
Thanks so much for the pattern and tutorial. I will make one soon but I have a couple questions. One is did you use cotton or regular yarn? When you put the bead eyes on did you cut the yarn so that you could attach it? Otherwise you would have to have the yarn unraveled?? thanks in advance.
how do I print this for mother
?
Hi I am Dalene from South Africa and think your teddy bear pattern is to adorable for words! thank you also for the wonderful pattern an tutorial on how to do it. i have just one question an that is hw to get the perfect little nose for these guys?
hi, i just love your bear its so cute! but i just cant get the nose right 🙁
Hi! I just finished making a 9×11 squares baby blanket from your teddy square pattern for my baby due in December. Thanks so much for this adorable pattern! 😀 It turned out super cute. 😀 I'd love to send you a picture, but can't figure out how to upload one to the feed here. Let me know if you'd like me to send one by e-mail. 🙂 Love it, thanks again! 😀
Hi there, I just finished making a blanket from this pattern. Turned out super cute! I think the author used cotton yarn, but I wanted mine really cuddly and soft and used a merino yarn, no problems. Just go by the smaller hook size recommendation on the yarn to get the cute little 3D nose. The beads need to be strung onto the yarn before you start working on the teddy bear (before the nose if you're making it the same colour as the rest of the bear, or when you change colour after the nose if you're making the rest of the bear a different colour). Good luck!
aprox how many skeins did you need for your blanket. I cannot find Tango yarn but found Grace by Paton that I think will work. However, need to order so need aprox. how many skeins?
Loved this beautiful cover much. I will be grateful if you could send me to my mail patterns claudiamaya1965@gmail.com Best regards.
