I made this pillow for my mother in low, and called it “Primavera flowers pillow”, because I can’t wait for spring to come. I don’t like winter. I don’t like its cold, dark, gloomy, short days. I don’t like rain nor snow. But I like everything about spring. I love the Italian word for spring: Primavera. It sounds so promising… Just like spring…
I recently designed this simple flower granny square. Although I love colors (very much) think it looks nice even whole–colored, because that highlights its texture.
I’m planning to make tutorial as soon as I finish Primavera flower baby blanket which I’ve started on Tuesday.
I know you’d like to see the other side of the pillow, so here it is.
Pillows! 🙂 Made by hand. Made with love. Made for loved ones. Of course, they must be beautiful.
For this pillow I used 100% cotton yarn “Tango” (beige, yellow, pink and peach) and “Golf” – shown in the picture (green, light blue and purple), both from St. George. 125m/50g, and 3.5 mm hook.
Blooming garden pillow
First of all, I want to thank you for your numerous comments on my previous post (about Teddy Bear Granny Square). I’m absolutely thrilled with your response! So, I promise to make a tutorial for Teddy Bear Granny Square. I’ll do my best to finish it until the end of the month. I just have to finish my blanket first.
Do you remember my Blooming Garden Bag? I love those flowers! I couldn’t resist to make a pillow using the same Granny Square Pattern.
This is how the back side of the pillow looks like. I never crochet the other side of my pillows.
I really fell in love with these flowers. If you’d like to make them too, you can find the free tutorial here. Big thanks to Karen who made Lily Pad Hexagon tutorial and who has a new website.
Pillows are definitely my favorite crochet subject.
And they look cute on photographs. Especially if they are colorful and happy.
More crochet pillows
I finished this pillow several days ago, and I really like how it turned out. Love this beautiful pattern! Right now I’m working on another project using this gorgeous flower pattern again. And I adore this shade of gray.
As I mentioned in one of my previous post, when I showed you the work in progress, I added this cute bobble edging.
I joined granny squares with single crochet.
I’ve just finished this one. I wanted something really colorful and bright and happy, because this one is for my sister. I used two different brands of yarn, both 100% cotton, thicker for the flowers and thinner for the background. That way the flowers really pop out, which I like.
Non of these pillows will stay at my home, so I will definitely make some more pillows in the future…
