I’ve just finished this pillow. The pattern is my own design. Very similar to the granny square I use for the Little flower baby blanket from my previous post. This grannie is a little smaller.
This is the back side of the pillow. I never crochet it. I always add a fabric with a zipper. Looks nice and save my time (which I may spend crocheting…)
I used my trusty 100% cotton “Tango” yarn (manufacturer: St. George), and for the petals I used purple-blue “Una” yarn (also from St. George) It’s 50% acrylic, 45% cotton and 5% metalized polyester.
I’ve already started my next crochet project, which I’m very excited about. Something new, I’ve never made before, colorful and happy…
Little flowers baby blanket
This is the third baby blanket I have made. And also my third design. Previously I made Teddy bear baby blanket, and Primavera flower baby blanket. This one I called Little flowers baby blanket.
For this blanket I used 100% cotton yarn “Tango” and “Golf” (125m/50g) manufactured by St. George from Serbia. I used “Golf” yarn for the flowers, and “Tango” for the background and for plain squares. I joined the squares with “Una” yarn, also from St. George. This yarn isn’t 100% cotton, it’s 50% acrylic, 45% cotton and 5% metalized polyester.
The blanket measures 77 x 95 cm and has 80 squares (8 x 10). I joined the squares with simple crochet, as I always do.
I love how that blue-purple yarn shimmers. Unfortunately it isn’t so visible in the pictures, so you can’t get the real impression of the blanket.
The border is also my design. I wanted something lacy and luxuriously and romantic, but not too much…
I will probably make a pattern and tutorial for this blanket, and hope it will be the first pattern for sale in Dada’s place shop, which I’m planning to open as soon as I manage to cope with the various difficulties that I faced along the way…
Have a lovely week! 🙂

A sunny blanket for my son
Last time I promised you the pictures of the finished blanket I had made for my son. And I finally managed to take some photos.
It was pretty rainy and cloudy here in the past several days, like instead of spring, autumn was coming.
For this blanket I used one of my favorite granny squares Rosie Posie Grannie from the lovely Cherry Heart blog.
I already used this pattern several times, for this pillow, this and this.
I really, really love how this blanket looks like, like pure happiness…
